Me desperté con un sol gigante asomando por la ventana. Es el último día del invierno europeo. ¡Qué alegría! El verano cada vez está más cerca y eso me hizo recordar el verano estupendo que tuve el año pasado en la Costa del Sol, más precisamente: Marbella.
Marbella es el lugar elegido por muchos europeos para pasar el verano. Según comentarios de muchos residentes y turistas frecuentes es el sitio de Europa con el mejor clima durante todo el año, playas hermosas, montañas que enamoran y por supuesto la gente bella que la adorna, especialmente en verano, todos los años. Las fiestas son imperdibles e inolvidables.
Puerto Banús es el lugar indicado si te gusta divertirte a lo grande. El puerto esta minado de yates de lujo y sus calles, inundadas de restaurantes elegantísimos, bares de copa y las tiendas de las firmas más reconocidas del mundo.
En otra nota hablaré de su vida nocturna porque hay mucho que contar, por hoy, me limitaré al día, las playas y las famosas fiestas del Champán. Seguramente me quedaré corta con mis descripciones, pero quiero darles un acercamiento a lo que hay por descubrir en la Costa del Sol.
I woke up with a giant sun peeking through the window. It's the last day of the European winter. What a joy! Summer is closer and closer and it makes me remember the wonderful summer I had last year in Costa del Sol, more precisely: Marbella.
Marbella is the place chosen by many Europeans to spend the summer time. According to comments of many residents and frequent tourists, Marbella is the place in Europe with the best climate all year long, beautiful beaches, mountains and of course with the beautiful people who make it even better, especially in summer, every year. You can not miss the parties here, they are unforgettable.
Puerto Banus is the place to be if you like to have real good fun. The port is full of luxury yacht and its streets surrounded by charming restaurants, bars and the world's most recognized shops.
On another note I will discuss nightlife because there is much to tell, for today, I will talk just about the day, the beaches and the famous Champagne parties. Surely I'll be short with my descriptions, but I just want to give an approach to what is need to be discovered in the Costa del Sol.
Las PLAYAS de Marbella son bañadas por el Mar Mediterraneo. Si te gusta el windsurf es preferible que te alejes hacia las costas del oeste, dirección Tarifa, donde los vientos son más fuertes y frecuentes. Si te quedas en Marbella, personalmente, prefiero quedarme en algún club con piscina frente al mar si quiero tomar sol o de última, salir a dar un paseo por las playas. Pero si buscas bañarte y tomar sol en la arena, mi consejo es conducir más hacia el este, dirección Fuengirola y Torremolino, donde se encuentran las mejores playas, súper anchas y con arena más fina.
Marbella BEACHES are lapped by the Mediterranean Sea. If you like windsurfing is preferable that you move away towards the western coasts, to Tarifa, where winds are stronger and more frequent. If you stay in Marbella, personally, I prefer to stay in a club with oceanfront pool if I want to sunbathe or go for a walk along the beach. But if you're looking to going for a swim and sunbathing on the sand, my advice is to drive further east, towards Fuengirola and Torremolino, where the best beaches, very wide and with thin sand are.
Aunque caminar por la playa me encanta, yo prefiero las MONTAÑAS y les aconsejo que no se pierdan recorrer los caminos de Nueva Andalucía, con sus preciosos barrios residenciales y un centenar de magníficos hoteles y campos de golf. La carretera a Ronda también te lleva a una montaña que tiene la mejor vista de toda la costa y donde billonarios han elegido construir sus mansiones, el complejo recibe el nombre de "La Zagaleta" al igual que su campo de golf, club al que todo amante de ese deporte quiere pertenecer.
While I love walking along the beach, I prefer the MOUNTAINS and I advise you not to miss driving the roads of Nueva Andalucia, with its beautiful residential areas and hundreds of top-calss hotels and golf courses. The road to Ronda also take you to a mountain that has the best view of the coast and where billionaires have chosen to build their mansions, the resort is called "La Zagaleta" like the golf club inside it, which is the club where all lovers of this sport want to belong.
Finalmente, en Marbella no hay verano si no hay MÚSICA, FIESTA y CHAMPÁN. El Ocean Club Puerto Banús es, sin lugar a dudas, el anfitrión número uno de estas fiestas. El club está sobre la playa mirando al mar, con una piscina gigante rodeada de camas que poco tiene que envidiar al océano, una barra con los mejores licores y un restaurante para disfrutar de una rica comida bajo el sol. Si bien está abierto toda la temporada con la mejor música, shows en vivo y DJs invitados, el Ocean Club es el encargado de dar las mejores fiestas del Champán de toda la Costa del Sol, atrayendo a miles de turistas de todas partes de mundo a participar. Botellas gigantes de Champán son derramadas entre las chicas y los chicos que bailan y se divierten bajo el agradable sol mediterráneo. ¡Imperdible! (Si eres chica no olvides tu zapatos de tacón!)
Finally, there is not Marbella summer if there are not MUSICA, PARTY and CHMAPAGNE. Ocean Club Puerto Banus is, without doubt, the host number one of these parties. The club is on the beach overlooking the sea, with a giant pool surrounded by beds that has nothing to envy the ocean, a bar with the best liquors and a restaurant to enjoy a meal under the sun. While it is open all the season with the best music, live shows and guest DJs, the Ocean Club is responsible for giving the best ChampagnePparties on Costa del Sol, attracting thousands of tourists from all over the world to participate. Giant Champagne bottles are poured among girls and boys who dance and have fun under the nice Mediterranean sun. It's a must to go! (If you are girl, you can not forget your high-heels shoes!)
Otro de los sitios donde puedes vivir fiestas como estas en Marbella es el Hotel Sisu Boutique. Es el hotel elegido de muchos jóvenes ingleses que se escapan de su gris Inglaterra para disfrutar, desde las primeras horas de la mañana hasta altas horas de la noche, de todo lo que el verano de Puerto Banús tiene para ofrecerles: chicas hermosas, calor, música y diversión. Another place where you can have parties like this in Marbella is the Sisu Boutique Hotel. It is the chosen hotel of many young English guys who escape their gray England to enjoy from early morning until late at night, all that the summer of Puerto Banus has to offer: beautiful girls, hot weather, music and fun. The hotel is new, very modern, with a very fun environment and with lots of parties. It organizes "Pool Parties" every weekend and it has three luxury Suit bed rooms. Visit it!
