Pocos de la gente que me conoce saben que he dedicado la mayoría de los años de mi niñez y mi adolescencia a pintar. Recuerdo que todas las sircunstancias que "adolecía" a esa edad se hacían pintura. Desde pequeña aprendí a amar y a entender el arte como una forma de expresión y sobre todo, como una forma de desnudar al alma y dejarla libre para poder ser lo que uno desea y que en la rutina del día a día parece imposible. Todo lo que no era, eran mis pinturas. Me pasaba horas mezclando colores.
Técnicamente fue mi profesora, Karina Marinich, la de aquél entonces, señorita Karina o Kary, la que me guío en cómo usar mi talento y plasmarlo en un lienzo. "Primero el fondo, los colores claros y por último lo negro", "No aprietes tan fuerte el lápiz" aún recuerdo sus consejos. Con el tiempo aquél pequeño primer helicóptero mal pintado en acuarelas se fue transformando en los grandes óleos que aún cuelgan en las paredes de la casa de mi madre.

Few of the people who know me know that I spent most of the years of my childhood and adolescence painting. I remember all the problems "suffered" at that age became a picture. Ya han pasado diez años desde que pinté mi último cuadro ¿Me he alejado de la pintura? ¿Del arte? No, para nada. Simplemente comencé a buscar por otros lugares: el teatro, la danza, la fotografía... Es imposible dejar de lado tanta belleza. El arte mantiene vivo el espíritu. Aún cuando me imagino a mi misma dentro de veinte o treinta años, me veo tocando el piano en una casa grande mirando un lago y al sol escondiéndose detrás de las montañas.
La semana pasada justamente he tenido la oportunidad de cambiar roles. He dejado de ser la autora de mis pinturas para convertirme en la musa, la modelo del pintor Antonio Tordesillas. Sesión que además fue producida por el fotógrafo Luismi Villaescusa en la ciudad de Madrid. Fue un trabajo totalmente distinto al que estoy acostumbrada, con varias horas posando de la misma forma porque los lienzos y las telas, las luces y las sombras jugaban un papel muy importante, que más tarde en la pintura serán mejor apreciados (mejor que en las fotos).

It's been ten years since I painted my last work. Did I quit painting? Did I quit art? Not at all. I just started to look in other places: acting, dancing, photographing... It is impossible to ignore such a beautiful thing that art is. Art keeps the spirit alive. Even when I imagine myself in twenty or thirty years time, I see myself playing the piano in a big house looking a lake and the sun hiding behind the mountains.
Just last week I had the opportunity to change roles. I ceased to be the author of my paintings to become the muse, the model, of painter Antonio Tordesillas. Work which was also produced by photographer Luismi Villaescusa in the city of Madrid. It was a totally different session from what I'm used to, with several hours posing in the same way because the clothes and fabrics, lights and shadows played a very important role, which is going to be better appreciated in the paintings (rather than in the pictures).
My thanks from here to Luismi, Antonio and Elisa Gil (makeup artist) for the excellent work. Im looking forward to seeing the finished paintings by Antonio!
