Acabo de terminar de ver el capítulo número dieciséis de "Beauty and the Beast"(La Bella y la Bestia), mi serie hasta que comience True Blood (Sangre Fresca) en Junio.
I’ve just finished watching the episode number sixteen of "Beauty and the Beast", my favorite series until True Blood begins in June.
Es una serie estadounidense de género dramático (para chicas, según mi novio) transmitida por la cadena The CW desde el 12 de noviembre del 2012 y protagonizada por la hermosa Kristin Kreuk (30años) y el bombonaso de Jay Rayan (31 años).
It is an American drama series (for girls, according to my boyfriend) that has been aired on The CW from November 12, 2012 and starring the beautiful Kristin Kreuk (30years) and the aye candy, Jay Rayan (31 years).
I started watching the series in Argentina in January this year when I was looking for a movie to watch on line and since I saw the first episode I couldn’t stop following it. Every week I look forward to the day to down-load it and watch it on my computer (since it has not been broadcasting in Spain yet) while eating a huge bag of sweet popcorn, alone, without anything bothering me.
Según he leído, no ha tenido una muy buena crítica en los Estados Unidos, más aún cuando la comparan con otra serie del mismo nombre que se emitió a finales de los 80' pero, aún así, no ha cambiado mi opinión: ¡Me encanta! Si bien es cierto que tal vez la bestia se parezca más a “Hulk” cuando Vincent Keller (el personaje principal) se transforma, la idea del hombre bueno, caballero y fiel que daría la vida por su chica y prisionero de una maldad incontrolable que desfigura su aspecto y es capaz de matar, está bien lograda. Y sinceramente, a quién le importaría en que se transforma Jay Rayan si luego de observarlo no puedes ver otra cosa más que el recuerdo de su adonis rostro en tan esbelto cuerpo.
According to what I have read, it has’t got a very good review in the United States, even more, when it is compared to another series of the same name that aired in the late 80's, but still, I haven’t changed my mind about it: I love it! While it is true that the beast might look more like “Hulk” when Vincent Keller (the main character) transformed, the idea of the good and faithful man, a gentleman who would die for his girl and who is prisoner of an evil that can not be controlled, that changes his appearance and makes him capable of killing, is well made. And honestly, who would care what Jay Rayan transforms into if after you look at him you can not see anything but the memory of his adonis face and such a lean body.
La trama: Catherine "Cat" Chandler es una inteligente detective de homicidios que es perseguida por su trágico pasado. Cuando era una adolescente, Cat fue testigo del homicidio de su madre a manos de dos hombres armados, quienes la habrían asesinado también, de no ser por alguien - o algo - que la salvó. A pesar de que nadie le cree, ella sabe que no era un animal lo que atacó a los asesinos, aunque era extraño y aterrador, era humano. The plot: Catherine "Cat" Chandler is a smart homicide detective who is haunted by his tragic past. As a teenager, Cat witnessed her mother’s murder at the hands of two armed men who would have killed her too if it hadn't been for for someone - or something - that saved her. Although no one believes her, she knows it was not an animal that attacked the murderers, even though it was strange and frightening, it was human. Years after the tragic event, Cat and her partner Tess Vargas, investigating a new case, discover a trail that leads her to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller, who was believed to be killed while serving in Afghanistan in 2002, soon Catherine discover that Vincent was the one who saved her years ago, who, for some mysterious reasons and aided by his friend JT, has been forced to live outside society for ten years, hiding a terrible secret: he was part of an experiment to develop super soldiers, but something went wrong and now he transforms into something he can not control. It is the only survivor of the experiment, since the others were killed by the same government that had created them which now hunts him. Catherine is committed to protect his identity in exchange of his help to clarify her mother’s murder, Vincent soon becomes an essential part of her detective work and Catherine discovers that she trusts him as she has not ever trust any man before,and that, despite the obstacles between them, she feels safer with him than with anyone else. Thus, they begin their love story.
Si se preguntan por qué decidí escribir recién ahora sobre la serie, la respuesta es que en este capítulo, titulado "Any means possible" ("Algo significa posible"), al fin Catherine y Vincent tienen SU PRIMERA ESCENA DE AMOR. Tan buena que me sacó el aliento. Y me puse a pensar, qué mujer no sueña con conocer a ese hombre apuesto, inteligente, fuerte y protector que la ame, la cuide, la respete y la haga suya dulce y salvajemente, una y otra vez, hasta el final de sus vidas. Al menos yo lo he soñado ( y lo he conseguido jajaja).
If you wonder why I decided to write about the series now, the answer is that in this chapter, entitled "Any means possible", Catherine and Vincent finally have THEIR FIRST LOVE SCENE. So good that it took my breath away. And I was thinking, which woman doesn’t dream to meet that handsome, intelligent, strong and protective man that loves her, cares about her, respects her and makes love to her tenderly and also wildly, over and over again, until the end of their lives . At least I have dreamed that (and I have got it lol).
Este capítulo esta lleno de momentos que te hacen recordar imágenes de historias similares como las caricias de Esmeralda a Cuasimodo, el Fantasma de la Opera mirando a Christine Daaé bajar las escaleras del teatro detrás de su mascara y por supuesto el mágico vestido de Bella, la princesa de Disney, cuando baila con la bestia. El episodio de The CW comienza con una pesadilla de Vincent donde no se controla estando en la cama con Catherine y la mata - todo a causa de su miedo de hacerle daño al transformarse - pero termina con una escena de amor bellísima: las manos fuertes de él acariciándola apasionadamente y ella muriendo de placer, cuando Vincent llega a su orgasmo, sus ojos empiezan a cambiar, pero logra controlarse. Otra vez el amor pudo al monstruo feroz.
This chapter is full of moments that makes you remember images of similar stories such as the caresses of Esmeralda to Quasimodo, the Phantom of the Opera staring at Christine Daae walking down the stairs of the theater behind his mask and of course the beautiful dress of Bella, the Disney princess, when she dances with the beast. The episode of The CW begins with a Vincent’s nightmare where he looses control being in bed with Catherine and kills her - all because of his fear of hurting her if he transformed -. However it ends with a beautiful love scene: his strong hands caressing her passionately and she dying of pleasure, when Vincent reaches his orgasm, his eyes start to change, but he manages to control himself. Again love beats the cruel monster.
La misma sensación que me dio la situación de Edward Coolen luchando contra el apetito desenfrenado que le producía Bella Swan, a quien amaba, para no matarla, fue recreada por Vincent y Catherine, donde la fuerza del amor es ilustrado en su máxima expresión para vencer toda tentación. Y para terminar les dejo mi frase preferida del primer libro escrito por Stephenie Meyer: "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. What a stupid lamb. What a sick and masochistic lion" ("Y entonces el león se enamoró de la oveja. Qué estúpida oveja. Qué león más morboso y masoquista").
The same feeling I got from the situation where Edward Coolen fights his uncontrollable hunger produced by Bella Swan, whom he loved, to not to kill her, was recreated by Vincent and Catherine, where the power of love is shown at its best to overcome all temptation. And in order to finish, I will leave my favorite line of the first book written by Stephenie Meyer: "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. What a stupid lamb. What a sick and masochistic lion."
