Quitilipi es el pueblo donde nací, al norte de Argentina. El més pasado fui a ver a mi familia, especialmente por el cumple de mi padre, como todos los años. La diferencia fue que esta vez el pueblo tenía un evento organizado por un diseñador local, David Gonzalez, y dos de sus alumnas que terminaban la carrera de Diseño de Indumentaria.
El día del desfile (dos horas antes), cuando estaba en la peluquería arreglándome para ir a ver el show, una de las nuevas diseñadoras, Marlene Osicka, me pregunta si quería desfilar con uno de sus vestidos, y como el evento resultó ser también un evento solidario, dije que sí inmediatamente.
Por suerte, el primer vestido que me probé, con un poquito de fuerza, entró perfectamente y fui directo al show. ¡Qué sorpresa para mi familia, que me estaba esperando en las mesas, cuando me vieron bajar las escaleras del escenario!
Quitilipi is the town where I was born, in northern Argentina. Last month I went there to visit my family and specially for my father's birthday, like every year. The difference was that this time, there was a catwalk show in the town organized by a local designer, David Gonzalez, and two of his students who where finishing their Fashion careers.
The day of the event (two hours before) I was at the salon getting my hair done to go and see the show, when suddenly one of the new designers, Marlene Osicka, got in and asked me if I wanted to show one of her dresses, and since the event happened to be a solidarity event, I said yes right away.
Luckily, the first dress that I tried on, with a little bit of pushing, fit me perfectly and went directly to the show! What a surprise for my family, who was waiting for me at the tables, when they saw me walking down the stage's stairs!
