Azucar! Azucar! Salsa, merengue and bachata is what you hear in Punta Cana. Sun, sand and palm trees is what you see in Punta Cana. Sea, pool and mojito is how you enjoy Punta Cana. Doubtlessly the Caribe has its charm and even more in one resort of its endless beaches.
I arrived in the evening to Santo Domingo and after two frightening hours driving along the desolated roads in middle of the jungle of the heart of Dominican Republic, with just the headlamp of my car lightening my way and thunderstorm approaching I made it to destiny. And it was really worth it! The following day I woke up with a huge shining sun and I did not leave the beach until the first drops of the rain in the afternoon, just in time to go and shower and enjoy the shows of the Gand Bahía Principe Hotel & Resort.
The water of the sea is incredible blue, find and white sand, it has a good sun to sunbath and the palm tree shade to rest. The hotels and restaurants next to the beach make easier your days providing many services and there are a lot of activities in order not to get ever board: beach sports, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming with dolphins and many more.
Y me dijo:
-Sightseeing and jogging at the same time, what a great idea to do both, save time and avoid the boring touristic trips by bus- En español: “Recorriendo y entrenando a la vez, que buena idea para hacer ambas cosas, ahorrar tiempo y evitar los aburridos paseos turísticos en autobús”.
It’s my first time in Paris, it’s a short trip of three days, and I want to sightseeing, I have to work for some hours and I need to exercise, since being sited in a plane does not burn any calories and I always stop my routine because of something. Now, how can I do all these activities in such a short time? I was thinking will taking my clothes out of my suitcase.
I was staying at a hotel near the Luxembourg gardens. Beautiful. From the hotel window I could see many people going for a run there. I put on my sport clothes and trainers, grabbed my camera and went down. I had gotten up very early that first day and I was decided to exercise before anything.
In the park, while jogging around with some stops to photograph some sculptures of the garden and the palace, I stopped to ask a gentleman to take a picture of me in one of the fountains. He said:
-Sightseeing and jogging at the same time, what a great idea to do both, save time and avoid the boring touristic trips by bus- And he was absolutely right.
I decided to leave the park and go jogging around the city. I got a map and I made my own circuit. I only had until 5pm. Luxembourg Gardens, Louvre Museum, Arch of Triumph, The Eiffel Tower, The Army School, and back to the Luxembourg Gardens again. I had planned to go up the Eiffel Tower and to visit the Notre-Dame de Paris the following day. On my way I saw many attractions that i had not even planned. It was a great experience among tourists and locals, jogging and sightseeing around Paris. I felt part of it.
I finished exhausted but it really worth it. I could exercise and sightseeing. Honestly Paris is one, may be the first, of the european cities the I love the most.
The last day of my visit to Argentina, in Buenos Aires, I ran into a friend who was getting into a bookstore on Corrientes Avenue. I followed him, I greeted him and we chatted for a while. Suddenly I see a title on a book called his attention "Perras y gatos. Do men prefer badgirls?" (Hard to translate because here "Perras: dogs" and "Gatos: cats" refer to words from the Argentinean slung to refer to naughty girls, bitches and sluts) And then, being funny, he bought that book and gave it to me as a present. "I think the title goes with you" he said and after I pushed him away, laughing, I went back home to pack my stuff with the book written by Maria Isabel Sanchez on my hands.
At 9.30pm was my IB6844 flight to Madrid. I arrived just in time because the highway was cut -not a strange thing that happens in Argentina-. Anyway, as soon as I boarded the plane I started reading the book which I finished the next morning before landing. It was very entertaining - more than the movies that were being shown- especially the prologue written by the comedian Rolo Villar. I will transcribe two paragraphs from it. Then, reading the whole book is up to each of you. I recommend it, it's fun.
"I have always said that the man who has no luck with women does not know how lucky he is! [...] My first conclusion is that there is nothing easier than a man: he brags about intelligence, he boasts of having more nights than the moon, he presumes of the seven females that every man has for himself, but he ends up succumbing into the worst spider web, is it because we have less streets than Venice? (meaning: they're not streetwise at all - In Argentinean slung people who does not "have streets" are people that are not bright, claver or does not know to identify and resolve problems right away because of a lack of experience)"
"Basically I understand them (women), and even I justify that they go bad. Perhaps the fault is ours (men) because, if they are tender, we say that they are cheesy, if they don't dress up and make up, we say they look neglected and abandoned, if they do dress up and make up, we say they look like a prostitute. If they sleep with us the first night, we treat them as easy-girls, sluts and if they refuse, we say they are prudes. If they do not get a promotion in their work, we treat them as losers, as if they were not good for anything, and if they are promoted, we say that they are social climbers. If they do not cook or clean or iron, we treat them as lazybones and if they are the perfect housewives, we leave them for a naughty girl, a slut. If they are nice we take advantage of them. If they are bad, we fall in love with them."

Abril/April 2013
It's my fifth day in my home town, northern Argentina, in the middle of the tangled forest of the Chaco plain. Despite being April and that it has already been one month of autumn in the southern hemisphere, the weather is still summery here.
The reason why I came for the second time in four months to my country, traveling 12 hours by plane and 14 hours by bus, was the 50th birthday of my father, it was a must and reason enough as it was the 70th birthday of my grandmother in January.
My father loves the national folklore and for quite some time he has had a “peña” in the back of house where he weekly brings together many neighbors, youth and adults of the town, to share live music from different bands and singers, that among chamamé, chacareras, gatos y escondidos they party until sunrise.
The past weekend it has been special for his birthday. I arrived on Saturday morning with my boyfriend and after lunch I was sent to my dad’s farm with my brother and some cousinsand uncles to “kill” the lunch for Sunday and also to record that event to add it to my father’s birthday video. It is a custom in my area to buy live animals and slaughter them. They butchered seven goats, a piglet and a lamb. Despite the killing, which made some tears appear in my eyes, it was a nice afternoon in the country side.
The party started at night around 10pm and finished on Sunday afternoon. Just imagine what a party! It started with the “peña”, singing, drinking and dancing, and finished with the lunch and long dessert on Sunday. Everybody ended up happy with the barbecue and after that with the birthday cake and “pastelitos” with “dulce de leche” made by my mother.
I love seeing my family happy among friends and relatives. Undoubtly my father had a very happy birthday and I am delighted to have been involved in his joy. My brother spent the day singing, my mother dancing and my father was the presenter of everything. I participated clapping but I had to go to sleep a little in the early hours of Sunday.
Everything has been very nice but I'm starting to miss my routine, my stuff and my life in Europe. On Thursday I will go back to Buenos Aires to greet my friends there and next Monday I will fly back to Madrid. The good thing is to know that I can always come back and that I never forget about my beautiful family, neither do they.

Fede Farrell.
"I'll pick you up at 5pm!!!" he used to say to me every day and we used to go running to Palermo's gardens (Buenos Aires) when we still lived in Argentina. We used to rent a studio to rehearsal his singing and my dancing. We used to meet at the gymnasium every single night. I will never forget the chocolates he brought to me when he visited me after an accident. We had to separate one of each other to follow each dream, he went to Mexico and I came to Spain. Without any doubts, he is a very nice friend, an excellent person, such a great artist, musician, compositor and actor who is everyday closer to the top of his career. Fede Farrell.
¡EXTRAÑO A MI FAMILIA!
¿A quién estabas esperando tanto?
¡PASO!
1-Why did you decide to move to Mexico?
During my childhood and adolescence I always admired latin musicians that had started their careers in Mexico. After two years working on my demos for my first album in Buenos Aires, I decided to walk to that horizon that has been my reference for so long. I wanted to give to my work a final touch of what I admired on other artists’ works.
2-How was the welcome?
I have no words to describe how good and such a nice host Mexico has been with me from the very first day. The truth is that I got to this country with just a suitcase and a lot of ambitions. Without any contacts and without many friends, when I realized how crazy was what I had done, everything was almost done.
3-What is what you miss the most from Argentina and what is what you don’t miss at all?
I MISS MY FAMILY! "Mates" with my mom, my dad’s barbecues, my holidays in the country side with me sisters, brothers in law and my nieces and nephews. I miss the croissants and biscuits made in Argentina!
What I definitely don’t miss at all is the stress of living in Buenos Aires which sometimes was a little contagious and made me a little unhappy [hahaha]
4-Which of your songs you identify yourself the most with?
The “Featuring Fede Farrell” EP that I'm about to realese, has five songs that I wrote. Each speaks of a very important episode in my life and also in the life of a loved one, it is a bit difficult to highlight one in particular but I guess the one sets me out and talk about my life is “Cruz”, a tribute to the woman that I won’t ever forget. The song is a dramatic Rock, ninety style. I can not wait to show it!
5-How do you feel about your first video "Y yo sigo aquí (en mi)"?
"Y yo sigo aquí (en mi)" and its video bring me satisfaction all the time and open up doors to me. Filming the video was an experience that I had dreamed for years. I had the big fortune to be able to assemble a team with genuine and passionate love to the story I wanted to tell. My story and my vision. I'm very proud of the results we achieved with my team, the video captures the simple and honest side that characterize the song on their outer layer.
6-Who was it written to? Who were you waiting for so long?
No answer! [laugh]. I originally wrote the song at the end, by force, of a long term relationship, but it has become one of those songs that return cyclically to renew the energy in each new relationship.
7- The up coming video is "Lagrimas Negras". When? Can we download it on iTunes?
Right. We are in the pre-production of the second video clip. This new song shows a whole new side of me, as a composer and as performer.
The song is now on sale on iTunes and other download platforms. The video does not have a release date yet, but possibly it will be during the summer.
8-What are your plans for 2013?
The 2013 started full of surprises for me. So far this year I've signed a couple of major advertising contracts, I had my first participation in a Mexican film and I'm having meetings to do something totally new to my resume. In the remainder of the year I hope to make many dreams come true, but certainly what I’m really anxious and happy about is the album's release.
9-A part from your rising career as a singer, you have been modeling on the catwalk and advertising. How do you feel? What was your best work as a model? Any stories?
Modeling gave me a lot of satisfaction as soon as I got to Mexico. Being exposed on runways, fashion magazines and advertising campaigns opened many doors to me and gave me valuable tools to move in the world of music and entertainment.
Today I have left modeling on a side because of time. However I am making room to my role as an actor, which is a discipline that undoubtedly I would like to explore and I want to enrich myself.
10-When we met you dedicated a song to me called "Inseparable" Are you going to record it again? When? I'm looking forward to listening to it!
“Inseparable” is one of the songs from my debut album, one of my favorites, actually. This song was inspired by a dear friend from Buenos Aires, who was able to teach me the value of fighting for what you want, self-love, to defend the convictions and accept no limits. Needless to say, that friend is you, Cami. At first sight, the song is about a love story that suffers from social rejection, but in a deeper analysis the song revels messages that are more complex and very interesting to explore.
