NAVACERRADA CON MAMÁ. Navacerrada with mom.

   La sierra está blanca como una nube. Antes de que mi madre se marchara de regreso a Argentina, luego de un mes de visita, la llevé a conocer Navacerrada. Fue muy emocionante para ambas porque ella no conocía la nieve y en mi caso, es la segunda vez que la experimento. Si se preguntan por qué, les cuento que en Argentina, mi familia vive en al norte, cerca de Brasil y Paraguay, y jamás nieva. Por otra parte, Bariloche, el lugar de esquí por excelencia en mi país, queda a unos 2500km.

   Salimos de casa cerca del medio día. Navacerrada solo está a 30minutos en coche desde Madrid. Pasamos toda la tarde jugando con la nieve y como broche final comimos churros con chocolate muy caliente en un bar cerca de la estación de esquí. ¡La pasamos muy, muy bien!

    The mountain is as white as a cloud. Before my mom returned to Argentina, after a month in my house, I drove her to see Navacerrada. It was so exsciting for both of us because she had never seen snow before and it was just my second time there. If you ask why, I teel you that in Argentina, my family lives in the North, close to Brazil and Paraguay, and it never snows. Also,       Bariloche, the place to be when we talk about snow and skiing, is 1500mi away.

    We left home at noon. Navacerrada is just 30 minutes away from Madrid by car. We spent the whole afternoon playing in the snow and at the end we finish our trip eating "churros with hot chocolate" in a bar near the ski-port We had so much fun!

CUMPLE EN LONDRES. Birthday in London

Este es un post  desactualizado, pero he tenido unos días en que el nuevo diseño de mi web, la Universidad y la visita de mi madre  se llevaron todo mi tiempo. A parte he probado usar otra plataforma pero decidí regesar a blogger. ¡Lo siento! Les cuento que el 13 de octubre cumplí 26 años y lo festejé con mi novio y una amiga en la bellísima Londres.

   Londres es una ciudad que siempre esta nublada. Las tres veces que he ido fue muy difícil ver el sol, sin embargo, la urbe tiene tantas cosas para hacer que el clima pasa a segundo plano. El mejor tiempo para visitarla es en verano pero nunca he podido ir en esa época del año.

   A parte de su extraordinaria área turística, un vecindario para no perderse es Kensingnton. ¡Me encanta! Camden Town por supuesto y Notting Hill. Aunque esta vez me he sentido una inglesa más montando las bicicletas de la ciudad. ¡Es una experiencia única! Te invito a perderte en Londres. ¡Una verdadera pasada!

This is a late post, but the truth is that I've been working on the new look of my website, I had lot to do for University and my mom was here visiting me so I did not have enough time to write, sorry! Also I tried a new platform but I decided to come back to blogger. Anyhow, I turned 26 years old on October 13th and I celebrated with my boyfriend and a friend in THE beautiful London.  

   London is a city that is always cloudy. The three times I was there it was very hard to see the sun, nevertheless, it has so many things to do that the weather  doesn't really matter. The best time to go is in summer but I've never got the chance to go in this time of the year.

   In addition of its amazing touristic area, a neighborhood that you can't miss is Kensingnton. I love it! Camden Town of course and Notting Hill. This time also, I felt like a real english citizen by riding the bikes that he city provides, around downtown. Such a unique experience!  I invite you to get lost in London. It's very exciting!

VENECIA. Venice

No pude llegar para el Festival de Cine pero no importó en lo más mínimo, por algo esta ciudad en medio de las aguas del mar Mediterraneo es uno de los destinos turísticos más reconocido en el mundo, ni si quiera el mal tiempo pudo opacar la belleza de Venecia. 

   Fue inusual para mi, y divertido a la vez, ver y subir en bote-taxis, bote-limosinas, bote-buses y las famosas góndolas que adornan los canales. El Canal Grande es el principal de Venecia, tiene aproximadamente seis metros de profundidad y es atravesado solo por 4 de los 455 puentes que tiene la ciudad. Entre ellos el famoso puente de Rialto, cerca del Mercado de Venecia, y el Puente del Suspiro, cerca de la Plaza de San Marco. 

   La isla está muy bien comunicada con muchas líneas de barcos que la conectan con el aeropuerto y también con las demás islas, entre ellas Lido, sede del Festival de Cine; y también líneas que facilitan el traslado entre los distintos puntos y barrios de la isla entre sí. 

   Ningún visitante debe perderse la Plaza de San Marco como tampoco la típica pasta italiana pero en este caso, combinada con pescados y mariscos, detalle que caracteriza a toda isla. Como souvenir hay muchas cosas: dede las famosas góndolas y sus gondoleros hechos de yeso hasta las bellísimas mascaras del carnaval veneciano. 

   Consejo: ¡Ir en pareja!

I couldn't make it to the Cinema Festival but it did not matter at all, for a reason this city in middle of the water of the Mediterranean sea is one of the most known touristic destination in the world, not even the bad weather could darken the beauty of Venice.

   It was unusual  for me, and very fun as well, to see and take a ride on taxi-boats, limo-boats, shuttle-boats and the famous gondolas that decorate the canals. The Canal Grande is the main canal in Venice, it is 20ft deep approximately and it is crossed by only 4 of 455 bridges that the city has. Among them we have the Rialto Bridge, close to the Venice Market and also the Sospiri bridge, close to San Marco Square. 

   The island is well communicated by many lines of boats that connect it to the airport and to the other islands, such as Lido, the city host of the Cinema Festival; and also by lines that communicate the different points and neighbourhoods of the island among themselves. 

   Nobody must miss neither San Marco square nor the tradicional Italian pasta but, in this case, combined with fish and sea food, a common characteristic of every island. As a souvenir you can find many things: from the famous gondolas and their gondoleros made of  plaster cast to the beautiful masks from the Venetian carnival. 

  My advice: Go with your couple!

DAR ES LA MEJOR COMUNICACIÓN. Giving is the best communication

"Dar es la mejor comunicación" es el nuevo video publicidad de una compañía de comunicación que hace detener y pensar a Tailandia. Al ver el video no pude evitar enamorarme y subirlo a mi blog. El valor de dar es muy importante para todos y el corto lo muestra como ningún otro. Él que da, recibirá en abundancia.

   En el video, una mujer, aparentemente dueña de una farmacia, detiene a un niño que le robaba una medicación. Un comerciante que veía la situación se acerca, se entera que la madre del niño estaba enferma y necesitaba ayuda, paga a la señora el valor del producto, y le devuelve la medicación al niño junto a una bolsa de comida. 
   Pasaron los años y las vueltas que da la vida demuestran como un acto de bondad resulta otro acto de bondad. No se lo pierdan.

"Giving is the best communication" is the new ad of a communication company that makes Thailand stop and think. When I first saw the video I could not help falling in love with it and upload it in my blog.  The value of give is very important for everybody and the short film shows it better than any other. The one who gives, will receive a lot. 

   In the video,  a woman, the owner of a pharmacy apparently, stop a little boy that was stealing a medication. A man, a seller, that was watching the situation approaches them, he finds out that the mother of the little boy was very sick and needed help, he pays the cost of the product to the woman and gives a bag with the medication along with some food to the little boy. 
   The years passed by and the circles that life makes shows how a good act results in another good act. Don't miss it.

MADRID FASHION'S NIGHT OUT

Con la calle Serrano colmada de gente y los locales abiertos hasta la media noche el pasado jueves 12 de Septiembre Madrid vivió la Fashion's Night Out realizada por la revista Vogue España. Muchas de las tiendas de ropa montaron un desfile en frente de sus escaparates, otras invitaban a sus clientes con champán y otras, incluso, trajeron su propio DJs. Despúes, todos a bailar! 

With Serrano st. full of people and the stores opened until midnight, last Thursday September 12th Madrid was the host of the Fashion's Night Out organized by Vogue Spain magazine. Many of the stores had a cat show in front of their windows, others invited their customers with a glass of champagne and others even brought their own DJs. After that, every body to dance!

SÚPER HÉROES. Super heroes

Siempre soñé con tener mi propio súper héroe. Esa persona que siempre está a tu lado para salvarte cuando estás en problemas. El héroe que siempre aparece para cuidar a la persona que ama. Tener alguien que se preocupe por vos es como tener un guardia a tu espalda las veinticuatro horas del día.

I have always dreamt of having my own super-hero. That person who's always next to you to rescue you when you're in trouble. The hero that always appears to take care of the one he loves. Having someone who cares for you is like having a body guard twenty four/seven.

DISNEY

Cuando tenía 15 años soñaba con este viaje: ¡Los 15 en Disney! Pero como soy muy paciente y se que todo lo que uno desea llega en la vida con un poco de esfuerzo y sacrificios tuve mis: ¡25 en Disney! Ni diez, ni veinte ni treinta años hacen diferencia si conservamos el niño que todos tenemos dentro. Ver a las princesas, el castillo y demás personajes de los cuentos que marcaron mi niñez me llenó de alegría. 

    Ya grandecita puedo decir que detrás de todo hay una empresa,  pero su producto es tan maravilloso que no me voy a detener en eso. Solo destaco que siempre es preferible, incluso, vender amor y alegría, antes que armas cargadas de odio.

    Tuve el agrado de compartir esos días con una gran amiga: Tye,  juntas fuimos como niñas otra vez, disfrutando de cada atracción. El clima de Orlando no es el mejor en Julio, pero estando en Disney no importa! 

When I was 15 years old I used to dream with this trip: My 15 in Disney! But, since I'm very patient and I know that everything we want and desire in life come to us by working hard and doing some sacrifices, I've got my: 25 in Disney! Neither ten nor twenty nor thirty years cam make any difference if we keep that child inside of us alive. Seeing the princess, the castle and the other characters from the fairy tails that built my identity during my childhood made me really happy. 

    Now that I'm older I can tell that there's a company behind everything , but its product is so wonderful that I'm not going to talk about it. I just want to say that it's always better to sell love and happiness rather than guns loaded with hate. 

    I was blessed to enjoy those days with a very nice friend: Tye, both of us togethere were like little girls again, enjoying every attraction. The weather in Orlando is not the best in July but in Disney, who cares!
